About the Project

EPS was responsible for the supply, installation and commissioning of: 

  • Four main foul pumps each of capacity 1,225 l/sec at 38.5m head
  • Four storm pumps each of capacity 2,450 l/sec at 22.5m head
  • Seven smaller submersible pumps and associated rising main pipework 

The scope of the project also included electric control panels and wiring.  

The main pumping station at Atlantic Pond transfers the wastewater for Cork City on towards the wastewater treatment plant at Carrigrenan, which was another EPS project.
