About The Programme

Our 2 Year Graduate Engineering Development Programme is designed to provide recently qualified graduates or post-graduates with a comprehensive learning experience and prepare them for future leadership roles within the company.

The full time, flexible programme offers exposure to different engineering disciplines, hands-on project experience and professional development opportunities.

Supportive Learning Environment

Each graduate will be assigned a senior engineer as a mentor who will provide guidance, support and career advice throughout the programme.

The mentor will help participants set goals, navigate challenges and identify areas for personal and professional growth.

Training & Workshops

The programme includes structured training sessions and workshops focused on:

  • Technical Skills Development

  • Project Management

  • Health & Safety

  • Pump Training

  • Water & Wastewater Training Programmes

Participants will have access to internal and external training resources, site visits and networking events to further enhance their knowledge and skills.

Darren Phelan

Project Engineer

Darren joined us initially on his college placement while studying Chemical & Biopharmaceutical Engineering at MTU.

Passionate about the water industry, he was initially based at Kinsale WwTP and got a good working knowledge of how the plants worked.

When a post graduate opportunity arose within the Tendering dept, Darren applied and is now putting his hands on knowledge of plant operations to best use designing future plants for EPS.

Tomasz Krawczyk

Project Engineer

After studying mechanical engineering in MTU and gaining an interest in fluid dynamics, Tomasz joined EPS as a graduate project engineer.

He says he uses a lot of what he learned in college in EPS on a near daily basis while picking up new skills from his fellow graduates.

Tomasz said he always feels at home in EPS as he found a great amount of support for new graduates coming into the company.

Shaun Burke

Project Engineer

From a young age, Shaun always had a creative mind, eventually leading him to choose a career path in engineering.

He says he loves his role in EPS as every day is different, one day you can be on site, the next day you're in the office, always meeting new people and learning something new every day.

Shaun recalls how helpful the HR team were when he was applying as a graduate and how that made the process less daunting.

Connie O'Connor

Graduate Engineer

While completing his Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering degrees at LIT, Connie found a real interest in a project management module he was taking part in.

He is now involved in the Tendering dept in EPS where he manages various projects from tendering right through to commissioning

Connie finds a great sense of ease among his fellow gradaute in EPS where they all lend each other a helping hand when needed.
