There is a significant historical link with DCWW: “Welsh Water was EPS’s first Client in the UK water market, we originally supplied fabricated products to them over 20 years ago. It is satisfying to be continuing and growing this relationship as we move towards AMP6.” Go-to-Green is a collaborative programme in which we will work closely with DCWW and Black & Veatch to deliver efficiencies in cost and time without conceding on quality and outcomes. Similarly, our unique end-to-end capabilities and design-build-operate background will enable us to add value to DCWW’s Mechanical Works framework through early stage integration, the introduction of innovative, low whole life-cycle cost solutions and a strong, collaborative Client relationship.Shaun Stevens (EPS Development Manager)
Welsh Water Successes for EPS
UK portfolio bolstered by contracts under the “Go-to-Green’”programme and appointment to DCWW Mechanical Works framework.
EPS Group has recently made further advances into the UK water market by securing contracts and a major framework for Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.
“Go-to-Green” forms part of DCWW’s AMP5 water quality programme, intended to improve resilience in 12 water treatment works (WTW) and enhance water quality for DCWW customers across the Principality. The £97m programme is being managed by Black & Veatch on behalf of DCWW under a collaborative delivery model. EPS was awarded the first MEICA subcontract under the programme, at Elan WTW, and has since successfully delivered that work package. This has now been followed by an appointment to complete one of the largest MEICA packages under the programme, at Cefni WTW on Anglesey.
In addition, EPS secured a place on the DCWW Mechanical Works framework earlier this year. The framework provides for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of key items of mechanical process plant and pipework systems across the DCWW territory. Delivery will take place on a collaborative arrangement with DCWW’s in-house solutions and design teams. The initial award is for three years, with an option to extend by up to three additional years.
