DESCRIPTION
We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician to join our busy Operations team in the Roscommon/ Sligo area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out inspections, sampling and analysis of the wastewater treatment plant and implementing the necessary changes when required
- This role is very diverse and ranges from process control and monitoring to basic mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair
- Liaising with the maintenance team in relation to equipment repairs and routine preventative maintenance
- Providing technical support for the management and operations of wastewater sites
- Monitoring of SCADA control system
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering (or other relevant science/ engineering degree) is desirable but candidates with the relevant experience will also be considered
- Full clean driving licence
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants is desirable
- Experience in carrying out laboratory analysis of wastewater parameters
- Good communication and organisational skills are essential
- The ideal candidate must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
