DESCRIPTION

An Operations Area Supervisor is required to cover the Munster region, reporting to the Operations & Maintenance Area Manager. This role will involve management of wastewater treatment plants.

A highly varied and challenging role, this position requires a people centric and organised person with a solutions mindset to maintain and prioritise issues at water and wastewater plants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule & co-ordinate a team of operators
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance management at the treatment plants and the associated pumping stations
  • Environmental compliance on all assigned sites
  • Budget management of operations and capital expenditure
  • Manage client relationships
  • Completing HSQE audits, checking RAMS & SSW of works are carried out and all staff are H&S compliant & safety equipment is maintained

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record of supervising operational staff
  • Excellent time management and flexibility
  • Fluent English and strong communication skills
  • Good IT skills, Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise the urgency of maintaining water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • The successful candidate will live in the locality, be able to ensure timely access to the sites within the responsibility of the role.
  • A full clean driving licence is obligatory
  • Although not a requirement, a qualification in a related discipline (i.e science/engineering) would be advantageous
