DESCRIPTION

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Maintenance Engineer to join our Operations Maintenance team. The position will be based in our Head Office in Mallow, Co. Cork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scheduling of mechanical and electrical teams for preventative and reactive maintenance duties
  • Retrieval of repair/replacement costs for items of equipment associated with the Operations division sites
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding the supply of key component spares and replacement parts
  • Procurement of materials for planned and reactive maintenance works
  • Completing cost benefit analysis of upgrading equipment leading to more energy efficient options
  • Assisting with pump selection and comparison for existing and upgrade works
  • Organisation/support in the coordination of capital replacement of site equipment
  • Coordinate scheduled meetings with site supervisors in relation to maintenance works
  • Coordination and recording of statutory and regulated works (i.e pressure vessel inspections, electrical panel inspections, PAT testing etc)
  • Coordination of equipment repairs with in-house repair facility based at Head Office
  • Liaising with the workshop to organise fabrication materials
  • Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor and liaising with Site Operators on reactive and planned works
  • Completion of method statements and risk assessments for activities with particular risks involved

REQUIREMENTS

  • Third level qualification in environmental, mechanical, electrical engineering or related subject
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage time, meet strict deadlines and work to high standard, both on own initiative and as part of a team
  • PC skills such as email, excel and word
  • CAD drawing experience
  • Candidate must be flexible as the role includes both office and on-site work
  • Basic understanding of the water/wastewater treatment processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full clean driving licence
