DESCRIPTION
We require an Assistant Land Surveyor to work full time with our Senior Surveyor from our head office in Mallow, Co. Cork. Experience is not required but is helpful. Training will be provided with the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with survey tasks throughout the country including some overnight stays
- Conduct topographic surveys, measured building surveys, drone surveys, and control networks using the latest survey technology
- Setting out according to design drawings complying with company set out procedures
- Liaising with project teams on needs on current and upcoming projects
- Processing data in office including drafting
- Keeping up to date with equipment checks
- Participation in Lean/Six Sigma improvement teams
- Competitive salary based on experience
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong interest in learning the Land/Engineering surveyor profession
- Appreciation of drawing standards and CAD software packages
- Ability to learn survey processing software packages
- A capacity to adhere to advice from the senior surveyor
- Flexibility to work nationwide
- Civil engineering experience would be an advantage
- Some understanding of land surveying desirable but not necessary
- Experience in design in the Irish water industry desirable
