DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for a new on-site position, focused on the mechanical and electrical upgrade of an existing water treatment plant infrastructure in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
The role involves coordinating inputs from process, mechanical, and electrical designers, as well as supporting EPS- appointed designers in developing design requirements for process, civil, and mechanical aspects using site data. This position offers a diverse and hands-on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working within a dynamic design team environment
- Co-ordination of process & mechanical & electrical designer inputs
- Support EPS appointed designers with the development of process civil mechanical design requirements with site data
- Co-ordination of supplier design information
- Organise and document technical meetings
- Undertake project documentation management All designs & supporting information is delivered using a BIM (Building Information Modelling) Level 2 solution in accordance with Uisce Eireann specifications and the agreed BIM execution plan
- Assisting with purchasing and acquisition of all BOQ items for projects including labour, parts and materials.
- Ensuring the design phase of the project is completed on time and within budget
- Writing engineering reports
- Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry
- Have proven experience in an engineering role in a Civil/Mechanical environment
- Implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted schedule
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlines
REQUIREMENTS
- 3rd Level qualification in Engineering/safety management
- Experience would be preferable to include mechanical/electrical and/or wastewater treatment
- 3 or more years on-site experience
- Previous experience in design and build of water or wastewater projects
- Possess a positive and pro-active approach to working in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Client facing experience
- Experience would be desirable with MS Project, P6 and BIM360
- Full clean driving licence
