Enhanced Co-Operation
Between EPS & Salsnes Filter

Renewed partnership for Salsnes Filter product distribution in UK and Ireland.

EPS Group and Salsnes Filter have announced a renewed partnership arrangement for the distribution of Salsnes Filter products across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The deal was cemented at a recent meeting of the two companies at the IFAT Exhibition in Munich.

Though this new agreement, EPS are exclusively offering Salsnes Filter’s range of belt filter products to the UK and Irish municipal markets. The technology has traditionally been used as an alternative to a primary settlement tank, especially on sites where footprint is at a premium or where budgets do not extend to full tank construction. It is also used for ‘peak lopping’ applications, providing short-term primary treatment capacity under peak flow conditions.

More recently, Salsnes Filter products have been successfully used for the treatment of storm overflows, removing solids and organic matter from excess flows arising from network CSOs and treatment plant storm tanks. The technology stands to play a prominent role in the upcoming nationwide programmes of reducing and managing storm discharges.

Having worked with Salsnes Filter through a third party for several years, the new agreement sees EPS now gain direct and exclusive access to the product range. This will drive greater value in the market, as well as availing of EPS’s expertise in delivering integrated and packaged solutions including feed pumping, discharge, sludge handling, washwater provision, access steelwork and electrical/ICA ancillaries.

“The agreement between EPS Group and Salsnes Filter is both logical and very exciting. We are two companies that share a great commitment for water treatment, and the values of our two companies and the way we work, fit together very well. In EPS we have experienced a highly competent and dedicated organization with ability to support customers with advanced and innovative solutions. EPS are also distributor for other compatible products, and together with the technology and experience from Salsnes in primary filtration, the new agreement will make it easier for the municipal and industrial customers who will benefit from efficient solid separation solutions. We look forward to pursuing opportunities for better wastewater treatment and a successful future together with our customers.”

“Salsnes Filter has a perfect fit within our extensive product portfolio,” says EPS’s UK General Manager Shaun Stevens. “Alongside our market-leading offering scraper bridges, it gives us a complete solution toolkit for primary and stormwater treatment applications. This direct access arrangement ensures we can deliver Salsnes Filter products more effectively for our customers and provides the integration, commissioning and aftermarket support services that our customers are demanding. These products will play an important role in meeting many of the treatment challenges that the industry faces in the coming years.”
