New Joint Enterprise To Benefit UK Marketplace

Combining almost 100 years of experience, Italy’s Nuove Energie and EPS Water UK announced their joint enterprise, Nuove Energie UK at the Water Equipment Show in Telford in May, 2024

EPS Water UK has been working with Nuove Energie as a valued supply chain partner for over a decade and the new joint venture brings a wealth of water and wastewater experience to the UK marketplace as the two market players join forces to enhance their joint technical and commercial offering to customers and clients in the UK and Ireland.

Nuove Energie have been designing industrial and civil wastewater treatment plants since their foundation in Vicenza, Italy in 1980 and known in the market for their standardised solutions such as Ultrascreen®; Biostrainer®; Conoscreen® Primescreen®, Vanguard® and Septinguard®.

Joining forces has already proven to be a winning combination for the companies as Nuove Energie’s Managing Director, Gianmaria Massignani explains.

“With operations in the USA and worldwide, we have been extending our reach in the UK in recent years and this joint venture is just the latest step in that direction, the most recent of which was when our Ultrascreen® disk filter was selected by Thames Water as the leading equipment for tertiary filtration installations requiring stringent suspended solids and phosphorus removal in 2022”.

“With over 13 years experience using Nuove Energie’s Ultrascreen® tertiary filtration solution at wastewater treatment plants, we can stand firsthand by their efficiency, quality and overall excellence as a treatment solution”, says EPS Water UK’s General Manager Shaun Stevens.

“Our combined experience, teamwork and understanding of the UK and Irish marketplace, led to the successful Thames Water framework win, something we hope to replicate in the coming years as we provide an even higher level of service to our UK clients and frameworks as we move towards higher demand levels and tighter consents in AMP8”.
