The award is a deserved reflection of the achievements of the EPS project team and illustrates the power of collaboration with our client and technology partners. By bringing all stakeholders together, it was possible to deliver a right-first-time solution to one of the most remote places on earth. This project and our other nominations at the Water Industry Award demonstrate that EPS remains at the forefront of DfMA delivery in the UK and Irish water sectors.

EPS Wins DfMA Project of the Year at Water Industry Awards
EPS Water was announced as the winner of the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) Project of the Year at the Water Industry Awards 2020.
We are thrilled that our work for British Antarctic Survey at the Rothera Research Station, Antarctica scooped the top award.
Our award submission entitled “Expansion of Wastewater Treatment Plant Capacity at Rothera Research Station, Antarctica: Using Digital Design and Off-Site Delivery to De-Risk Projects in Remote Locations” was also competing in that category with our project “Delivering a Complete DfMA Works Upgrade at Ardsbeg Water Treatment Works in Co. Donegal”.
The judges felt the Rothera project was the ultimate winner because of “the solution led approach taken to very specific criteria, delivered impressive and tangible results and has created a model for similar remote installation projects”.
Ardsbeg was also shortlisted under the Water Innovation Project of the Year category, while the company itself was shortlisted for Contractor of the Year.
Another project we were heavily involved in – the delivery of the Coppermills WTW in London – was shortlisted under the Water Innovation Project of the Year category for our colleagues SMB.
