EPS Launches LEAN Transform Programme

The EPS Lean Transform Programme, supported by Enterprise Ireland, will build on previous Lean Start and Lean Plus programmes to provide a company-wide programme that will change culture and productivity performance by up skilling all team members in techniques that will provide sustainable improvement in the business and its wider supply chain. It is envisaged that the programme will develop skills at all levels of the company which will improve efficiency and competitiveness to provide an improved product delivery and service to customers. The programme will also be a key catalyst for the company to support its growing operations in the domestic market and in export markets such as the UK, Europe and the Middle East while also providing a framework for further growth into new markets in the future.

The programme will also include the implementation of a new ERP solution to provide its mobile workforce with the information to facilitate efficiency and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the market place in which the company operates. The new ERP system will replace disparate inbuilt applications with a single integrated solution. The system will support business critical processes from manufacturing, asset, project, and supply chain management to HR, CRM, and financials.

The total investment by EPS is €1.2 million over 3 years.   Specific lean systems training will include company wide yellow and white belt certificates for all employees in addition to green belt certificates for approximately 50 team members and some select black belt certificates for lean champions.

Our approach to Lean system and business processes efficiency is key to our ongoing sustainability and growth. We know from our customers that the company must not only be efficient and provide the best value for money but we also must be in a position to demonstrate that we monitor and measure performance rather than just stating the obvious. The lean transform programme for EPS is a key component of ensuring ongoing and future success for the company and job security for our 275 employees, their families and our wider supply chain
