DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Fitter to join our Service and Repairs division based in Mallow, Co. Cork, but covering the Munster area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out mechanical installation & service of all types of pumps, blowers, screens, gearboxes and other mechanical assets in the water and wastewater industry
- Have a working knowledge of mechanical\electrical plant operations
- Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
- Ability to clearly identify mechanical faults and identify how to resolve fault – including identifying parts required
- Work with the Job Manager developing specific MSRA for works.
- Taking the lead site mechanical\electrical supervision role for onsite works
- Identifying shared equipment (Confined Space equipment, Hiab, shared tools etc) you need for carrying out specific jobs & for organising to have this equipment
- Completion of daily WRS on IFS tablet & handwritten reports where required
- Provision of detailed reports to the Job Manager
- Support electricians\fitters carrying out work with you on site where appropriate
- Mentor, encourage & train apprentices
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a craft certificate
- 2-3 years fitter experience
