DESCRIPTION
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Donegal. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will have responsibility for commercial management of one or more EPS projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of sub contract procurement packages
- Preparing and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Measurement of bills of quantities, preparing and checking valuations, including re-measurement
- Monitoring and checking variations, preparing materials orders schedules and document management
- Agreement of interim payments and interim/final accounts
- Knowledge & understanding of contractual obligations
- Administer contract records
- Claims management
- Measurement and valuations for both employers and subcontractors
- Prepare monthly progress applications and report on financial status of contracts on monthly basis
- Setting up subcontract agreements including T&Cs of subcontractor’s orders and monitoring throughout the term of the subcontract
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 2+ years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor and be a fully qualified QS with an BSc Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication with fluent English
- Computer literate and must have good IT skills
- Good communication skills needed in dealings with all the different aspects of the business
