DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Site Manager (Site Based) in Castlemartyr, Co. Cork. In this role you will have the opportunity to be at the heart of one of our business units. This role will be primarily site-based working on construction and refurbishment of waste water treatment infrastructure. You will play a key role within the team through co-ordination with the design team, subcontractor management and client engagement from project inception to handover.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take direction from Site PM as required on all site matters
  • Develop and encourage a culture of innovation and initiative to all matters HSQE. Embrace the fundamentals of Communication, co-ordination, co-operation and collaboration
  • Prepare site HSQE signage plan, procure signage as required, erect and maintain for the duration of the project
  • Carry out site inductions for all new personnel on site and maintain records of same including Safe Pass, training records, Covid Compliance questionnaires et
  • Assist Site PM as Covid-19 Compliance Officer ensuring compliance with COVID-19 HSE & industry best practice guidelines
  • Carry out weekly toolbox talks and maintain records of same
  • Review and authorise RAMS from all contractors on site, submission of same to client and act on any recommendations/amendments
  • Prepare subcontractor RAMS and Daily Safe Plan of Action forms as required
  • Supervision and monitoring of all site activities to ensure compliance with RAMS such as sufficient edge protection, required signage, confined space, access/egress etc
  • Support site PM on construction risk management
  • Liaise with Site Project Manager to develop weekly/monthly HSQE audit schedules
  • Comply with contract KPI to ensure audit scores are maintained greater then 95% on weekly and monthly audits.
  • Close out actions from EPS HSQE audit
  • Close out actions from IW Resident Engineer HSQE weekly audit
  • Close out actions from IW HSQE monthly audit within defined time period
  • Undertake monthly Ecology audits with the EPS appointed ecologist
  • Close out actions from Ecology monthly audit
  • Implement required actions, improvements and close out of all audit findings
  • Implementation of EPS Housekeeping Plan and arrange for skips as required
  • Implementation of EPS Construction and Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) including daily check sheets
  • Arrange for dedicated waste set down area with barriers and signage as required all in accordance with CEMP
  • Implementation of waste management procedures on site and compile waste management tracker
  • Represent EPS on all stakeholder/general public HSQE communications
  • Prepare HSQE information for inclusion in monthly progress reports and presentation
  • Compile and submit HSQE document transmittals with site PM and maintain register of same
  • Assist in the compilation of the project safety file / O&M file for handove
  • Develop and maintain the site HSQE filing system
  • Provide document control support to site PM and maintain EPS construction document registers
  • Compile and submit construction/design/MEICA document transmittals with site PM and maintain register of same
  • On Site Procurement
  • Manage site IFS work-flow app allocations. (Mobile Work Order App)
  • Prepare and submit monthly site progress reports.
  • Prepare and submit monthly presentation ahead of progress meeting
  • Attendance at monthly progress meetings
  • Develop and maintain Project Asset Register
  • Development of Equipment Commissioning Plans
  • Compile the project completion safety file / O&M file in accordance with IW guidance documents and standards

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Process Engineering or other relevant HSQE qualification
  • HSQE management on any Irish Water infrastructure projects will be an advantage
  • 2 or more years experience including on-site knowledge
  • Possess a positive and pro-active approach to working in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Client facing experience
  • Experience would be desirable with MS Project, P6 and BIM 360
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Safe Pass
