DESCRIPTION
If you are a graduate of mechanical engineering and you’re ready for responsibility and autonomy, while being supported by a team of experienced peers, look no further!
We are now recruiting engineering graduates to join our busy Contracts Division based in the North West.
As part of our ever growing team, you will be responsible for the engineering activities on municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants and various pumping stations.
No two days will be the same, so your activities will vary and will be agreed with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis. You will support the design team through the process up to and including the onsite installation and commissioning.
A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the purchasing and acquisition of all BOQ items for projects
- Timeline planning of small industrial installations from contract award to completion
- Coordinate site labour for projects
- Support with the completion of projects on time and within budget
- Invoicing and debt retrieval as appropriate
- Engineering reports, method statements and commissioning schedules
- O&M and Health & Safety documentation and enforcement of safe work practices onsite
- Design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contractions in specifications
- Technical assessments are completed and technical issues are resolved without delay
- Compilation and issuing of technical submittals
- Manage submittals through the approvals process.
- Review the installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible
- Liaise with the design team & supply chain teams
- Review and answer technical queries from sites
- Ensure site supervisors are working off latest drawings
- Issue requisitions and ensure all materials delivered are as per specifications and submittals
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong communication skills and an enthusiasm about working in a highly driven team.
- Full Clean Driving Licence
