Winchburgh Wins Again!

The Winchburgh Wastewater Treatment Plant has been recognised as Mechanical Engineering Project of the Year at the 2024 Engineering Excellence Awards.

And what perfect timing, coming as it did as we were preparing for the now multi award winning site’s official opening the following week.

This very unique project leveraged our digital delivery expertise to successfully design and build the plant during the global pandemic using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) and collaborative design through digital tools, which helped deliver quicker construction, improved quality and reduced HSE risk during an incredibly challenging design and construction environment created by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Congratulations too to our client Scottish Water, their delivery partners ESD Joint Venture and technology partner Royal HaskoningDHV and their Nereda wastewater treatment technology.

Representing us at the awards were Project Managers Joseph Watkins, Mary Ita Murphy, Wain Ferguson and Eoin Geary.
